Mobinex delivers Phone Customization Technology
enabled with SIM-enabled Device Management from Gemplus

Mobinex, the leading provider of mobile user experience
solutions announce user interface customization
technology with SIM-enabled device management via their
Smartface Operator Suite.
This will increase mobile service revenues by providing
an operator branded user interface with one-click access
to operator services and fresh content. Smartface allows
subscribers to access data services through fun-to-use
interfaces and improves mobile usability dramatically,
hence increasing service profitability.
Mobinex’s Smartface Operator Suite platform will be
extended to integrate the GemConnect Device Manager
platform from Gemplus, the leading supplier of SIM
solutions. This will enable operators to customize and
manage the user interface of mobile devices to benefit
from personalization and enhanced usability of mobile
services.
The companies will now coordinate their product
offerings by integrating GemConnect Device Manager’s
SIM-enabled Device Management capabilities with
Smartface Server. The integrated solution will help
delivery of dynamic user interfaces with minimum user
interaction and maximizing service availability, while
reducing service operation costs for the operator. Also,
integration of two solutions will facilitate new service
introduction, since existing subscribers can also
benefit from any new service as their handset can be
activated and configured remotely.
