Mobinex Enhances UEM (User Experience Management)
offering with Smartcast Interactive Push Messaging
Platform
Istanbul, 4 March 2006 – Mobinex today announces
the commercial availability of Smartcast; a Flash
SMS/Cell Broadcast based promotional messaging platform.
Smartcast is combined to UEM Solution portfolio, which
helps wireless providers to increase mobile data
revenues by enabling supreme user experience in
accessing mobile services.
Smartcast enables operators or content providers sending
non-intrusive pop-up messages directly to the handset
screen. Subscribers also can response to the message
just by clicking a handset button. Opportunities include
sending promotional offers, location based alerts,
one-click surveys and promoting Smartface applications
which is already installed on the handset.
The Smartcast user experience is entertaining and
non-intrusive. Subscribers see a visual alert on their
mobile when it goes idle, and received messages never
interrupt any user task. Unlike an SMS message, a Smart
Message does not drop into the phone inbox, it hangs on
the phone screen until the user responses. The visual
look-and feel and behavior of the pop-up messages can be
easily customized over-the-air.
Currently supporting Symbian Series 60 and J2ME enable
handsets, Smartcast work over multiple carrier platforms
such as Flash SMS and Cell Broadcast. Smartcast Client,
which is a 20K mobile application, is easily installed
to the handset over-the-air, bringing a compelling user
experience to the handset.
